23rd European Forum on Urban Forestry (EFUF): Urban Forestry for a Resilient Future - POSTPONED
In 2020, the European Forum on Urban Forestry the will be exploring three themes:
Theme 1: ‘Keeping cities cool and reducing flood risk’ – How our urban forests help to provide resilience, and what we can do to make them more adaptable to climate change and urban expansion
Theme 2: ‘The air we breathe, the water we drink and the way we feel’ – The role of the urban forest in meeting our basic life needs and addressing the challenges of physical and mental health
Theme 3: ‘Trees and urban design’ – How trees and GI are integral to the development of our towns and cities in creating places where people want to live, work and play and how forest products can help to reduce our carbon footprint.

Urban Forest Festival: Celebrating Trees in London and Beyond
The Urban Tree Festival is a celebration of urban and suburban trees, woods, forests, scrubland, hedgerows and all the wild places that bring life and joy to our cities. For the past two years the festival has celebrated urban trees walks, workshops, talks, parties, and practical advice for planting and maintenance. The festival is run by a small group of volunteers. Festival organisers are  looking to recruit volunteers with a range of skills in marketing, fundraising, event management, as well as people who can help out during the festival at events around London.

Air Quality Conference: North
As the levels of toxic air being registered in our towns and cities increase and the numbers of deaths which are attributed to air pollution grow, there is a clear and perceptual change in mind-set with regard to delivering policies which offer quantifiable solutions across health, energy, urban design and transport.

England's Community Forests 2020 Conference
The annual Community Forest Conference will be held in Birmingham at the Midland Institute on 26th March 2020 starting at 10am.
The focus this year is on trees and carbon. What role can trees play in helping to tackle climate change? There is a lot of media attention on plans for rapid acceleration of new tree planting.
